Privacy Policy — LinkedIn Translator
How LinkedIn Translator handles text, account, device, payment, analytics, and support data.
Last updated: 2026-09-02
This Privacy Policy explains how LinkedIn Translator handles personal data. Privacy questions and rights requests may be sent to privacy@linkedintranslator.app.
Information we handle
Depending on the features you use, we may handle:
- Translator data: the text you submit, direction, context, format, tone, rewrite strength, target language, custom instructions, and the generated result.
- Account data: name, email address, profile image, verification status, language, sign-in method, and identifiers needed for authentication.
- Session and security data: session tokens, IP address, user agent, request timing, and a short-lived hash derived from request information for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
- Transaction data: order, subscription, credit, currency, amount, invoice, and payment-provider identifiers. Payment processors handle full card or payment-account details; we do not intentionally store full card numbers.
- Support and communications: messages and files you choose to send when requesting help.
- Cookie and integration data: essential preferences and, only after consent where required, data collected by configured analytics, customer-chat, or Google One Tap services.
Please do not submit passwords, credentials, client secrets, unreleased company information, health information, legal documents, salary details, or other confidential or sensitive data to the translator.
How the AI tool processes text
To generate a result, our server builds a prompt from your text and selected controls and sends it to the AI provider configured for the service. The code supports Kie.ai, OpenAI, Anthropic, or a compatible API endpoint. When no provider is configured, the production translator returns an unavailable message and does not send the text to an AI provider.
The translator endpoint does not intentionally save your submitted text or generated result in the application's database. The content is processed transiently and the result is returned to your browser, where it remains in the current page state unless you copy or otherwise save it. The configured AI provider may process or retain request data under its own terms, security controls, and legal obligations. Provider-side retention can differ by account settings, product, abuse-monitoring needs, or law, so “not stored by this site” does not mean “never retained anywhere.”
Purposes and legal bases
We use data to provide requested features, authenticate accounts, secure and rate-limit the service, respond to support, process transactions, maintain records, comply with law, and—with consent where required—measure use or operate optional support tools. Depending on your location, our legal bases may include performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, compliance with legal obligations, and consent.
Service providers and disclosures
We may disclose only the data reasonably needed to providers that perform services for us, including:
- AI inference: the configured Kie.ai, OpenAI, Anthropic, or compatible endpoint;
- hosting and infrastructure: Cloudflare and configured database or storage providers;
- authentication and email: configured OAuth providers and email delivery services;
- payments: a processor selected at checkout, such as Stripe or PayPal, if paid features are enabled;
- analytics and customer support: configured services such as Google Analytics, Plausible, Crisp, or Tawk, but only after the applicable consent choice;
- professional advisers, authorities, or a successor operator when required by law, necessary to protect rights and safety, or connected with a legitimate business transfer.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising unless we first update this notice and provide any choices required by law.
Retention
Translator text and results are not intentionally persisted in our application database. Rate-limit entries are held temporarily in process memory. Account and session records are retained while needed to provide and secure an account; transaction and compliance records may be kept longer where tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, or legal duties require it. Support correspondence is retained while the request is active and afterward only as reasonably needed for records and dispute handling. Third-party providers apply their own retention rules.
International transfers and security
Providers may process data outside your country. Where required, the operator and providers rely on recognized transfer mechanisms and safeguards. We use access controls and encrypted transport where supported, but no online system is completely secure.
Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent where those rights apply. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. Because automated account export and deletion are not currently available in settings, submit requests to privacy@linkedintranslator.app. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where law permits or requires it.
You can change optional Cookie choices using “Cookie settings” in the footer. Rejecting optional Cookies does not disable the core translator.
Children
The service is not directed to children who cannot lawfully consent to online services in their location. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted personal data should contact us.
Changes and contact
We may update this notice when the product, providers, or law changes. Material changes will be indicated by a new date and, where appropriate, an additional notice. Contact privacy@linkedintranslator.app for privacy requests or support@linkedintranslator.app for general support.
